SYRACUSE, NY – The top two teams in the North Division face off Saturday as the Albany Devils travel to take on the first place Syracuse Crunch for a 7 pm puck drop at the War Memorial at Oncenter. The Devils are coming off a shootout loss Saturday, 2-1, against the Springfield Thunderbirds and hold a record of 34-25-1-2. The Crunch are coming off a 4-3 loss Friday against Utica and have a 31-21-6-5 record.

The Fight for First: Going into Saturday’s matchup, the Devils trail just two points behind the Crunch, but have a game in hand. If the Devils win in regulation, they will be in first place in the North Division.
Returning to Albany: Kevin Rooney returned to Albany’s lineup Friday against Springfield and earned an assist. The point marks his 18th of the season (10g-8a) and puts him at a four game point streak dating back to Feb 20.
Congrats, Q: John Quenneville earned his first National Hockey League career point in New Jersey’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Pittsburgh. He got the second assist on a Stefan Noesen goal at 14:02 of the first period.
